Tax Analyst

As a Returns Experience Automation Analyst at Avalara, you will collaborate with the tax compliance team to implement process and product automation solutions, contributing to Avalara's tax and compliance automation strategies while enhancing the overall service experience. - Develop technical skills to utilize AI and RPA tools effectively - Engage cross-functionally to drive and deliver process automation - Perform data analysis and provide support for special projects - Support product setup and review customer settings - Prepare and file indirect tax returns - Apply jurisdiction knowledge to compliance services - Monitor technological changes from state/local authorities - Lead process/product improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risks Qualifications Required: - Experience with RPA tools such as Power Automate and UiPath - Ability to quickly learn new software and tools to adapt to tax and compliance tasks - Consistently meet deadlines with strong attention to detail, accountability, and ownership - Team player with excellent cross-functional collaboration skills - Willingness to work swing shifts (2 pm to 11 pm),
