We are hiring a U.S. Tax and Accounting Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in U.S. tax return preparation, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. This role requires working knowledge of major accounting software and the ability to manage multiple client engagements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065)
• Handle quarterly estimated taxes, extensions, and annual filings
• Respond to IRS/state notices and support tax audits
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain general ledger, post journal entries, and prepare financial reports
• Manage depreciation schedules and fixed asset tracking
• Communicate with clients regarding financial data and deadlines
• Ensure timely and accurate filings and financial statements

Software Proficiency:

• QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Xero
• Accounting CS (Thomson Reuters)
• UltraTax CS (Thomson Reuters)
• Microsoft Excel
• Additional tools like Drake, Lacerte, Canopy, or Karbon are a plus

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience with U.S. tax and accounting
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

• CPA or EA certification (or pursuing)
• Experience working with U.S.-based clients or CPA firms
• Familiarity with multi-state tax filing
