What youll do

• Requirement Gathering & Solution Design

  : Engage with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and co-create wireframes/storyboards for dashboards and data solutions.

• Dashboard Development

  : Design, develop, and optimize Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and visualizations with advanced calculations (LODs, table calcs, parameters, actions) and scalable design principles.

• Technical Problem-Solving

  : Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, query inefficiencies, data connectivity issues, and dashboard scalability challenges across large datasets.

• Client Collaboration & Advisory

  : Partner closely with business users to recommend visualization and design approaches, articulate pros/cons, and guide them toward best-fit solutions aligned to business objectives.

• Standards & Best Practices

  : Establish and enforce Tableau development standards, style guides, and governance practices to ensure consistency and reusability across dashboards.

• Mentorship & Peer Review

  : Review the work of junior Tableau developers, provide feedback on design and technical implementation, and support their professional development.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

  Work closely with data engineers, functional leads, and IT teams to ensure alignment on data models, KPIs, data pipelines, and business logic.

• Backend Pipeline Development

  : Build and maintain backend data pipelines to support dashboard requirements, utilizing SQL, Databricks, and other relevant technologies as needed for data preparation and transformation.

What youll bring

• 5+ years of

  hands-on Tableau development experience

  (desktop and server/online).
• Strong command of advanced Tableau features (LOD expressions, complex calculations, blended vs. joined sources, parameters, sets, actions).
• Proven experience in

  resolving performance issues

  (query optimization, extracts vs. live connections, dashboard efficiency tuning).
• Strong

  requirements analysis

  and

  solutioning

  skills with the ability to translate business needs into impactful analytical solutions.
• Solid understanding of

  UI/UX principles

  for dashboard design, with the ability to balance usability, storytelling, and performance.
• Experience in

  mentoring junior developers

  and conducting peer code/design reviews.
• Strong

  SQL skills

  and understanding of relational & dimensional data models.
• Working knowledge of

  Databricks (Python/PySpark)

  for exploring data and supporting transformation logic.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills in a fast-paced, global environment.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to

  cloud data platforms

  (Snowflake, Redshift, Starburst, Azure).
• Knowledge of other visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik) for comparative advisory.
• Experience working in

  Agile environments

  and using tools like Jira or Confluence.
• Experience working with

  commercial pharma datasets

  will be preferred.
