Tableau Admin

Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server and related components. Manage server performance, security, and scalability to ensure optimal uptime and responsiveness. Perform regular backups, upgrades, and maintenance of the Tableau environment Manage Tableau users, groups, and permissions. Enforce governance policies to maintain data security and compliance. Monitor user activity and audit access logs to ensure compliance. Troubleshoot performance issues and fine-tune Tableau dashboards and reports. Optimize server configurations and resources to handle concurrent usage and large datasets. Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and end-users to understand requirements and ensure proper delivery of reports and dashboards. Provide training and support to Tableau users on best practices and advanced functionalities. Set up monitoring tools to track server health, utilization, and potential bottlenecks. Generate and present reports on Tableau performance metrics and usage statistics. Assist in the development and deployment of complex dashboards and data visualizations. Provide guidance on Tableau development standards, including efficient data modeling and design. Experience : 6+ years of experience in Tableau Server administration. Hands-on experience in managing Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server environments. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation. Technical Skills: Proficient in Tableau Server architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of data sources, data integration, and SQL. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Understanding of networking, authentication protocols (SSO, LDAP), and security standards.
