Tableau Admin

As an experienced Tableau Administrator, your primary responsibilities will include: - Ensuring functionality, accessibility, and security of the Tableau platform. - Analyzing Tableau server utilization patterns, dashboard usage, and Extracts. - Tracking and reporting system performance metrics based on Tableau usage. - Monitoring and analyzing system performance for optimal daily performance. - Setting up and monitoring row-level security/user authorization. - Developing data extracts or establishing real-time connections to data sources. - Providing Tableau design best practices to Tableau creators, interactors, and viewers. - Developing high-efficiency workbooks including modeling within the semantic layer. - Troubleshooting performance issues and providing recommendations/fixes. - Recommending and implementing continuous improvement and automation of daily tasks. - Reviewing troublesome workbooks and data sources and providing improvement suggestions. - Interfacing with Tableau developers and supporting publishing and troubleshooting Tableau components. - Collaborating with Tableau support to troubleshoot product issues and enhancements. - Coordinating with various teams to support ongoing operations in BI and Database operations. - Executing actions to maintain optimum Tableau platform performance, reliability, and availability. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5 years of professional experience directly related to Tableau and other BI tools. - Minimum 3 years of focused Tableau administration experience and a total of 5 years of Tableau experience. - Highly preferred experience in Insurance/Finance domain. - Hands-on experience in Tableau Architecture for Tableau 2020.x/2021.x. - Advanced knowledge of Tableau application platform and server-side functionalities. - Experience in Tableau Administration including installation and upgrades in a distributed enterprise environment.
