You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, accessibility, and security of the Tableau platform. This includes monitoring Tableau server utilization patterns for users, dashboard usage, and Extracts. You will track and report system performance metrics based on Tableau usage, analyzing system performance daily for optimal results. Additionally, you will set up and monitor row-level security/user authorization with or without database objects. Your role will involve developing data extracts or facilitating real-time connections to data sources. You will provide Tableau design best practices to Tableau creators, interactors, and viewers, developing high-efficiency workbooks that include modeling within the semantic layer. Troubleshooting performance issues and providing recommendations/fixes for identified problems will also be part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to recommend and implement continuous improvement and automation of daily tasks, as well as reviewing troublesome workbooks and data sources to provide suggestions for improvements. You will interface with Tableau developers to provide support for publishing and troubleshooting Tableau components, as well as collaborating with Tableau support to address any product issues and enhancements. Furthermore, you will collaborate with storage, server, authentication, database, and other teams to ensure ongoing operations in BI and Database operations. Your role will involve executing actions necessary to achieve and maintain optimum Tableau platform performance, reliability, and availability of Tableau systems. Qualifications: - 5 years of professional experience directly related to all aspects of Tableau and other BI tools. - At least 3 years of focused Tableau administration experience and a total of 5 years of Tableau experience. - Experience in the Insurance/Finance Domain is highly preferred. - Hands-on experience in Tableau Architecture for Tableau 2020.x/2021.x. - Advanced knowledge of the Tableau application platform and server-side functionalities. - Experience in Tableau Administration, including installation and upgrades in a distributed enterprise environment.
