Role Overview: As a Tableau Administrator, your role will be crucial in ensuring the functionality, accessibility, and security of the Tableau platform. You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing system performance, developing data extracts, providing Tableau design best practices, troubleshooting performance issues, and implementing continuous improvements for optimal Tableau platform performance. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure functionality, accessibility, and security of the Tableau platform. - Analyze Tableau server utilization patterns, dashboard usage, and Extracts. - Track and report system performance metrics based on Tableau usage. - Setup and monitor row-level security/user authorization with or without database objects. - Develop data extracts or facilitate real-time connections to data sources. - Provide Tableau design best practices to Tableau creators, interactors, and viewers. - Develop high-efficiency workbooks including modeling within the semantic layer. - Troubleshoot performance issues and provide recommendations/fixes. - Recommend and implement continuous improvement and automation of daily tasks. - Review troublesome workbooks and data sources, providing suggestions for improvements. - Interface with Tableau developers for publishing and troubleshooting components. - Collaborate with Tableau support for product issues and enhancements. - Coordinate with various teams for ongoing operations in BI and Database operations. - Execute actions to maintain optimum Tableau platform performance, reliability, and availability. Qualification Required: - 5 years of professional experience directly related to Tableau and other BI tools. - Minimum 3 years of focused Tableau administration experience and a total of 5 years of Tableau experience. - Preference for candidates with Insurance/Finance domain experience. - Hands-on experience in Tableau Architecture for Tableau 2020.x/2021.x. - Advanced knowledge of Tableau application platform and server-side functionalities. - Experience in Tableau Administration, including installation and upgrades in a distributed enterprise environment.
