Job Description

About the Role:

Systems Whisperer

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, monitor, and fine-tune complex IT systems to ensure peak performance and availability.
Design and implement scalable infrastructure architectures (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid).
Troubleshoot deep, elusive issues across servers, networks, storage, and applications.
Automate repetitive tasks and optimize system workflows using scripting languages and configuration management tools.
Develop monitoring and alerting systems that act before users notice issues.
Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and security teams to ensure systems are aligned with business needs and secure by design.
Maintain documentation for system architecture, configurations, and SOPs.
Act as a technical mentor and escalation point for complex issues.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications like RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar.
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps pipelines.
Knowledge of storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions.
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows.
Strong incident management and root cause analysis skills.
