System Engineer

As the System Administrator of IT Operations at Patra Corporation, your role will involve providing global IT operations infrastructure monitoring, management, implementation, and ensuring that all devices are up and running. In case of any issues detected by alert systems, immediate resolution is required. You have the option to work on-site at locations such as Vizag, Raipur, or Coimbatore. **Primary Responsibilities:** - Minimum 4 years of system administration experience. - In-depth knowledge of Windows servers administration (AD, DHCP, WDS, and DNS) and Linux administration. - Backups administration using Veeam software. - Skills in resolving vulnerabilities (rapid7, bitsight, upguard). - VMware administration. - Storage management with Synology, Qnap, NetApp. - Strong knowledge in scripting languages. - Guiding NOC team for issue resolution. - Disaster recovery planning. - Servers patching. - Preparation of SOP documents and SOC/ISO audit documentation. - Knowledge in Load balancer. - Cloud knowledge (AWS, AZURE, GCP). - User management. - Incident handling. - Good knowledge of server hardware. - Basic networking. - Quick diagnosis and resolution of system issues to minimize impact. - Antivirus management (CrowdStrike, Sophos). - Monitoring and auditing security logs for suspicious activities. - Research and development for key IT infrastructure and strategies. - Ensuring redundancy and stability for all critical systems. - Escalation/communication of issues and concerns as necessary. - Strong troubleshooting skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Certifications are considered an added advantage. - Comfortable with rotational shifts (A, B, EST, C). **Accountable:** - Ensure service processes and procedures are delivered and operated according to professional practices and standards. - Manage, process, and coordinate appropriate and timely response to incidents and Service Desk requests. **Team Player:** - Take ownership of assigned tasks and be proactive. - Perform all duties with integrity and honesty that represent Patra in a positive manner. **Minimum Requirements:** - At least 4 years of experience in monitoring and handling server and network-related issues. - Bachelor's degree, with any IT certifications considered an added advantage. **Working Conditions:** - Work from home/office. - Minimum internet speed of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; Directly connected to the modem; No satellite. **Work Standards:** **Interpersonal Skills:** The ability to work well with Patra colleagues.
