Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer with 8-10 years of expertise in Windows, VMware, Veeam Backup, and Citrix. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing and supporting clients’ infrastructure as well as providing expert guidance and support to other team members. This role requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional service and support to our long-term client and ensuring the smooth operation of the IT systems. Key Responsibilities/Skillset: • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: o Provide expert-level support for Windows operating systems, VMware environments, Veeam Backup solutions, and Citrix infrastructure. o Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users. o Serve as an escalation point for junior engineers and assist in resolving advanced technical problems. • Infrastructure Management: o Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers, VMware clusters, and Citrix environments. o Manage and optimize Veeam Backup and replication processes to ensure data integrity and availability. o Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency Qualifications: • Education: o bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. o Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Professional (CCP), and Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) are highly desirable. • Experience: o Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in IT service desk or technical support roles. o Extensive experience with Windows Server and Desktop operating systems. o Proven expertise in managing and troubleshooting VMware environments. o In-depth knowledge of Veeam Backup and replication solutions. o Strong experience with Citrix virtualization technologies. • Soft Skills: o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. o Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a time-bound manner. Key Responsibilities: With the Engineering & Industry team, what are you going to do? The Smart Product Development team consists of both young and experienced consultants. We offer our customers a perfect mix to support them in the implementation and use of their PTC CAD and PLM software. • As an Application Engineer you work intensively on the support and implementation of CAD & PDM/PLM projects. • You are a part of our Service desk team, offering support to our customers. You follow up and resolve tickets through our ticketing system. • You take care of the installation, configuration and updates of Creo and Windchill PDMLink for our customers. • You provide advice and solve problems via remote access or on site at our customers if they are located near you • You will have the opportunity to learn a lot from our experienced colleagues in a short time. • Gradually you further specialize in Creo and Windchill. You will be given the opportunity and the necessary time to have your knowledge certified. • Over time, and after you have acquired more specialized knowledge, you will be involved in complex implementations and grow into a role as Technology Consultant or Expert. Required Skills: • Education : - You preferably have a bachelor's or master's degree in a mechanical or design-oriented direction. • Experience: - 5+ years of practical experience with the PTC Creo and Windchill product suite , technical support, product support, or customer service, with a strong focus on technology, IoT, or smart products. - Experience with the extended PTC product family ALM , IOT,smart devices, mobile apps, cloud platforms, and/or home automation systems… is a bonus • Skills: - Basic knowledge of engineering concepts or practical experience in product design - Profound knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken - You have a strong interest in PTC CAD and PLM software, and you have an affinity with product development and mechanical design. - You have a good knowledge of English - You have experience with Creo and/or Windchill and you wish to develop further in this software. - You would like to keep up with the latest technological developments from our supplier PTC . - You are communicative, customer-oriented and aim for added value through teamwork. - You enjoy working in an ever-changing environment and you build long-term relationships with our customers. - You can work well independently, but also in a team. - IT knowledge (Windows OS, networking, …) that enables you to install, configure and support both CAD software on end user devices and Windchill software on customer Servers - Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) and customer support platforms.
