System Architect/Principal Architect

Role & responsibilities

As Lead IT Architect, you will help lay the foundations of the IT architecture and application landscape of Colruyt Group. Within the IT Architecture team, you will develop the application landscape, aligned with the Enterprise IT Architecture and the reference architecture. For the team, which includes application, data, infrastructure and security architects, we are looking for an IT Architect to strengthen the team.

You will participate in the Xtra application Architectural run way evolution. In the Xtra ART we build and maintain an innovative mobile application Xtra who delivers personalized shopping services. The services will be built iteratively in a combination of front-end, back-end and integration services.

1.   Education and experience You have a master's degree or equivalent experience. You have also worked as an IT architect for 5 years. Knowledge of EA modelling languages and frameworks.

2.   Conceptual ability Your designs start from a concept: your client wants to achieve a goal or has a problem. You listen and think along. Then you come up with concrete solutions.

2.1 Customer focus In everything you do, you keep the interests of the client in mind. You identify IT risks, follow developments in the IT field and dare to make decisions in complex situations. You provide substantiated advice so that your client can make a choice.

2.2 Strong communication skills You communicate smoothly and know how to convince others through your involvement, assertiveness and accessibility.

Language skills – You communicate fluently in English with your colleagues in Belgium and India.

Full-time, can start immediately. Location of employment is Hyderabad.

Preferred candidate profile

You are responsible for managing and coordinating the IT Solution architects in the development of the IT architecture so that:

• The end-to-end solution meets the functional and non-functional requirements.

• IT risks are assessed at an early stage.

• The end-to-end solution architecture is followed as a framework for the work of the IT Solution architects.

In the context of the Xtra ART, this means in concrete terms:

• The necessary ADAs (Architectural Decision Artifacts) are created and validated.

• There is a forum for Solution Architecture on which the solution IT architects are included within the broader context and validations of the proposed solutions take place.

• You ensure that the reference framework within Azure is drawn up and followed.

You are responsible for ensuring that the end-2-end architecture follows the reference architecture, so that:

• IT solutions are implemented in a uniform manner within our landscape.

• There is visibility and support for any deviations.

You are responsible for looking at questions and initiatives within a broader context, so that:

• The IT solution is consistent with the guidelines defined by the enterprise architecture:

• The capability landscape.

• The target operating model and technology compass defined for each capability.

• A coherent approach is followed across the solution projects.

In the context of the XTRA ART, this means in concrete terms:

• That you ensure that the IT architects are aware of the guidelines defined by Colruyt Group.

• That the elaborated solution architecture is submitted to an Architecture board for validation.

You are responsible for creating support for the IT architecture so that all stakeholders support the solution.

You are responsible for monitoring the implementation, so that:

• The implementation is carried out according to the architectural designs.

• The team has a point of contact in case of ambiguities.
