Network Engineer-Routing & Switching

As a candidate for the position, you are required to have good experience in the following domains: - Certification in JNCIA. - Routing and Switching: (mandatory) - Good understanding of the OSI layers, switching, and routing concepts - Experience in configuring and manipulating Dynamic Protocols (BGP) - Experience in configuring switching technologies (VLAN, Spanning Tree, etc) - Familiarity with Wireless Networks. - Familiarity with Quality of Service for marking and queuing - Familiarity with IPVPN is a plus, e.g., GRE, IPSEC, etc. - Familiarity with monitoring technologies and providing fixes to the issues. - Experience in Incident management, Change management, and Problem management. Additional knowledge in the following areas is a plus: - Familiarity with firewalls (Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), including VPNs, and DNS - Familiarity with Cisco Nexus technology, including NXOS. - Familiarity with WireShark to troubleshoot issues. - Scripting knowledge in Python, etc. Key Responsibilities Include: - Providing Level-2 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues - Handling escalated issues (Incidents/changes/Problems) - Recording all actions using the incident management tool and methodology - Identifying potential/candidate problems in the network and providing solutions - Proactive problem management based on trend analysis of incidents - Designing and executing IT Changes - Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., Firewalls, DNS, Routers, Switches, etc) - Rolling out version and configuration upgrades - Performing other operational duties as assigned - Building the documentary repository for troubleshooting and knowledge articles and ensuring knowledge sharing across the team Expectations from You: - Professionalism and a strong belief in people and organizational values - Capability to work in a complex environment with challenges and flexibility - Good communication skills in English - Self-driven, proactive, quick learner, and ownership mentality - Displaying personal leadership and setting new standards - Building professional relationships with people of all levels - Customer-friendly yet assertive - Proficient in creating and maintaining data in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Requirements: - Good experience in the specified domains - Certification in JNCIA - Knowledge of the key responsibilities and expectations mentioned above,
