Network Engineer-Routing & Switching

As a Network Engineer with 5-8 years of experience, you will be responsible for the following key domains: - Certification in JNCIA is required. - Routing and Switching: - Good understanding of OSI layers, switching, and routing concepts - Experience in configuring Dynamic Protocols (BGP) - Experience in configuring switching technologies (VLAN, Spanning Tree, etc) - Familiarity with Wireless Networks - Familiarity with Quality of Service for marking and queuing - Familiarity with IPVPN (e.g., GRE, IPSEC) - Familiarity with monitoring technologies and providing fixes to the issues - Knowledge in the following areas is a plus: - Firewalls (Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), VPNs, and DNS - Cisco Nexus technology, including NXOS - WireShark for troubleshooting - Scripting knowledge in Python Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing Level-2 support and troubleshooting network issues - Handling escalated incidents/changes/problems - Recording all actions using incident management tool - Identifying potential network problems and providing solutions - Proactive problem management based on incident trend analysis - Designing and executing IT changes - Configuring and installing network devices and services - Rolling out version and configuration upgrades - Performing other operational duties as assigned - Building a repository for troubleshooting and knowledge articles Expectations from you include: - Professionalism and belief in organizational values - Capability to work in a complex environment with challenges - Good communication skills in English - Self-driven with a proactive approach and sense of ownership - Displaying personal leadership and setting new standards - Building professional relationships with all levels - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
