System Administrator

Description

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing our server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. The System Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's IT needs and delivering excellent technical support.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain server infrastructure including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.
• Backup and restore data as necessary and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place.
• Assist in the deployment of new applications and services.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT staff.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-7 years of experience in system administration or a related role.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell) to automate tasks.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and users.
