Job Description

Job Title: IT Infrastructure System Administrator

Department:

Job Summary:

IT Infrastructure System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including Windows and/or Linux environments.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across servers, storage, and network layers.
Perform regular system backups, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
Ensure security protocols are implemented, including antivirus, firewall, and access control measures.
Maintain and monitor Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file-sharing services.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for infrastructure support and procurement.
Document system configurations, maintenance logs, and operational procedures.
Participate in IT audits, compliance checks, and implement remediation actions as required.
Provide technical support for escalated issues from the help desk or other IT teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure roles.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
Proficient in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Hands-on experience with networking hardware and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
