Job Description

Job Summary:

proactive and skilled System Administrator

This role demands a highly accountable individual with strong problem-solving abilities, technical expertise, and a focus on maintaining seamless IT operations and data security compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. End User Support & Device Management:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and business software applications.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and policies in Active Directory.
  • Maintain hardware inventory and ensure asset accountability.

2. Network & Infrastructure Management:

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot

    Routers, Switches (Aruba preferred), and Firewalls (SonicWall)

    .
  • Manage and monitor

    DNS, DHCP, VPNs

    , and IP address allocations.
  • Oversee structured cabling and LAN/WAN connectivity.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues proactively.

3. Security & Compliance:

  • Implement, monitor, and enforce

    IT security policies

    and

    user access controls

    .
  • Support periodic

    security audits

    and compliance assessments.
  • Maintain and review firewall rules, endpoint protection, and access logs.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining

    IT security policies

    ,

    incident response

    , and

    data protection guidelines

    .
  • Possess or pursue

    security certifications

    (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent).

4. Surveillance & Access Systems:

  • Manage

    CCTV surveillance systems

    and ensure continuous operation and data retention.
  • Maintain

    ESSL / biometric attendance systems

    and ensure accurate data integration with HR tools.

5. Asset & Documentation Management:

  • Maintain an updated IT asset register and lifecycle tracking.
  • Prepare regular reports on IT infrastructure health, network uptime, and incident summaries.
  • Document network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of

    Windows OS, Microsoft 365
