Server Engineer – Job Description We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting enterprise server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with VMware virtualization and Email server administration (e.g., Microsoft Exchange or similar platforms). Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers across physical and virtual environments. Manage and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hosts , vCenter, and virtual machines (VMs). Perform regular server maintenance, patch updates, and performance tuning. Administer and manage email servers , including mailbox creation, policy enforcement, and spam/security filters. Monitor system health, logs, and alerts to ensure server uptime and reliability. Configure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies. Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions. Work with IT teams for server integration, migration, and security hardening. Provide support for end-user escalations related to server, email, or VM-related issues. Document infrastructure changes and follow standard ITIL practices. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter . Experience with email server administration (Microsoft Exchange, M365, Zimbra, etc.). Proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019 , Linux (optional but preferred). Good understanding of server security, firewalls, and network protocols. Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
