Job Description

System Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to internal users, ensuring high system uptime and user satisfaction.
Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network resources.
Train and mentor junior system engineers, sharing best practices in system management and operational efficiency.
Continuously evaluate system performance and recommend/implement improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
Execute software upgrades, apply patches, and perform system audits to maintain security and compliance.
Participate in the full system development lifecycle—gathering requirements, deploying infrastructure solutions, and supporting implementation.
Manage database configurations, installations, and version upgrades across multiple systems.
Plan and execute server and network modifications based on business needs and budget considerations.
Monitor backup systems, manage access controls, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT infrastructure role.
Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux environments, firewalls, and enterprise network configurations.
Hands-on experience with system monitoring tools, virtualization platforms, and security protocols.
Strong knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar) and experience in their deployment and maintenance.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communicator with a collaborative approach.
Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive attitude.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
