Strategic purpose of the position

To lead the Organization’s sustainability and ESG strategy across manufacturing operation, ensuring compliance with Indian Environmental norms, driving efficiency among resources and embedding circular economy and climate resilience practices across all Ce 100% delivery of OTIF, MIS reporting, KPIs tracking and Vendor management.

Core responsibilities

• Develop and Implement Company’s Sustainability Roadmap
• Define KPI, Benchmark and Governance framework to embed sustainability across manufacturing operation
• Ensure full compliance with Indian Environmental laws
• Liaise with MOEF/SPCB/CPCB for Consents, Audits and NOC’s
• Conduct Internal Environmental risk assessment, Environment audit and Mitigation plan
• Drive Programme for Energy efficiency, Renewable energy increase in operation, and GHG emission reduction
• Oversee ISO45001 certification and factory level action plan for Sustainability performance.
• Implement ZLD, RWH and 3R at sites to drive lower water footprint as per business plan
• Lead Hazardous waste minimization, Zero waste to Landfill
• Ensure EPR compliance for Packaging waste
• Lead Sustainable Packaging innovation – Recyclable or Reusable packaging
• Track Water, Energy and Waste KPI in Enablon and drive quarterly audit of data accuracy in same
• Roadmap to drive 90% Solar energy across all sites
• Preparation of Decarbonation strategy and support in phasing out of Diesel from operation
• Preparation of Environment Impact Assessment
• Support CSR strategy related with Sustainability
• Preparation of complete design of ETP and STP in all GF and BF projects

Competency Requirements

• Deep technical knowledge of Indian laws – Water act, Air Act, Hazardous waste rules, EPR, CPCB/SPCB/MOEF norms
• Familiarity with Sustainability Standard like GRI/ BRSR/ ISO 45001
• Familiar with GHG accounting (Scope 1,2 3), Carbon footprint analysis, Decarb

Education & Experience

• 12+ years’ experience in Sustainability role in FMCG/ Beverages/ Chemical industry with Full time B.Tech Mechanical/ Chemical engineering and Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Science/ Environmental engineering, Certification in ISO 45001(OHSMS), GRI
