Sustainability Advisory Sr Associate

As an ESG Senior Associate at RSM, you will be an integral part of the ESG Advisory Services practice, contributing to the growth of our presence in both Canada and the US across diverse industries and markets. Your responsibilities will include the following: - Conducting research and applying RSM's ESG methodologies to deliver on various client engagements. - Collaborating with team members on projects involving ESG-related deliverables, policies, reports, strategies, social-return on investment models, and more. - Contributing to the continuous improvement of RSM's ESG methodologies. - Engaging directly with clients and stakeholders for business development and project management activities. - Supporting business development efforts through proposal creation, pitch deck development, and drafting engagement letters. - Enhancing the ESG practice within RSM in North America through thought leadership articles, educational presentations, and internal knowledge sharing. - Acquiring credentials in various ESG-related topics and technologies. - Identifying cross-selling opportunities by understanding firm capabilities across lines of business. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a relevant Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. They should have experience in data research, report creation, conducting ESG assessments, and supporting ESG strategies. Additionally, the ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications: - Familiarity with ESG frameworks and standards such as SASB, GRI, TCFD, IFRS S1 and S2. - Experience with GHG modeling, climate risk integration, life cycle analysis, decarbonization planning, and science-based target development. - Knowledge of Carbon Disclosure Project reporting. - 3+ years of experience in management or strategy consulting. - 1+ years of experience in ESG or sustainability consulting. - Strong communication skills for presenting to organizational stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address client needs effectively. - Willingness to travel as needed.
