The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of developing and executing robust supply chain strategies that align with the unique demands and regulatory landscapes of the [Defence/Healthcare/Logistics] industry. This role requires a deep understanding of global supply chain trends, advanced material management principles, and the ability to foster strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain and material management strategy that
supports the company's overall objectives, growth, and profitability.
• Provide visionary leadership to the supply chain and materials management teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
• Conduct long-range planning and analysis of the supply chain to identify potential risks, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and best practices to enhance supply chain visibility, efficiency, and resilience.
• Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Develop and maintain a network of reliable and high-performing suppliers and logistics partners, both domestically and internationally.
• Lead the strategic sourcing of critical components, raw materials, and finished goods, ensuring
quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Implement and manage robust inventory control systems to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent stockouts.
• Direct all inbound and outbound logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and
distribution, to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
• Direct the planning, procurement, storage, and control of all materials to ensure availability for
production schedules and operational needs.
• Implement and maintain an effective Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to accurately forecast demand and manage inventory.
• Oversee warehouse management, including receiving, storage, and issuance of materials, while
ensuring compliance with safety and handling regulations.
• Develop and execute strategies for managing obsolete and slow-moving inventory to minimize
financial impact.
Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Manage complex, multi-tier supply chains for defence programs and maintain the highest levels of security and confidentiality.
