Supervisor or Tax Manager (US Tax - India Remote)

We provide our clients with top-tier tax, and consulting services and we're looking for a skilled and motivated Tax Supervisor or Tax Manager to join our team and lead complex tax projects and client engagements and also our India operations.

Job Summary: As a Supervisor or Manager, you will oversee and manage client tax engagements, lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, and provide advanced tax advisory and consulting services. This position requires deep technical tax expertise, strong project management skills, and the ability to maintain and enhance client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the preparation and review of complex federal and state tax returns primarily for real estate joint venture, funds, and syndication partnerships and some limited work with individual returns.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients' tax liabilities and ensure compliance.
• Research complex tax issues and stay informed about current tax legislation changes to proactively advise clients.
• Review and provide feedback on work prepared by junior staff and seniors, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Oversee and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, representing clients when necessary.
• Develop and sustain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for tax matters.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the tax function.
• Provide coaching and development for junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation or related field preferred.
• United States CPA or EA license REQUIRED
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in tax, preferably in public accounting or a similar environment.
• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH, ProSystem FX, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused mindset.
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience supervising, mentoring, and developing junior staff.
• Experience in Real Estate Required (Minimum 1+ Years)
