This role spans two key platforms — SME Futures, India’s leading MSME-focused media brand, and CIO Guild, an upcoming platform for CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and digital transformation leaders.

About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, versatile Sub Editor/Senior who can edit long-form and news features, craft crisp digital copy, manage WordPress publishing, and conduct CXO interviews. This role demands editorial ownership, curiosity, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit news, interviews, and features for grammar, clarity, tone, and structure.
• Strengthen intros, fact-check details, and ensure alignment with house style.
• Write SEO-focused headlines, subheads, summaries, and metadata.
• Conduct interviews (text and video) with CIOs, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.
• Frame questions, build narratives, and convert raw inputs into compelling stories.
• Coordinate with design/video teams for multi-format story packaging.
• Upload and manage content on WordPress with optimized metadata, tags, and links.
• Maintain and update editorial calendars for both platforms.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and polished publishing.
• Work with freelancers and contributors, refining drafts to final quality.
• Collaborate with marketing, research, design, and leadership teams for story rollout.
• Track MSME, enterprise tech, policy, and industry trends for ideation.
• Propose new formats like explainers, listicles, playbooks, and micro-content.
• Contribute to building scalable editorial IPs.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of editorial experience in a digital newsroom, business magazine, or B2B publication.
• Strong editing and copy-sharpening skills with confidence in restructuring drafts.
• Experience or interest in conducting CXO interviews (text + video).
• Understanding of enterprise tech (AI, cloud, digital transformation) or MSME/startup ecosystems.
• Proficiency in SEO, WordPress, and digital publishing tools.
• Ability to multitask, collaborate, and work under deadlines
• Bonus: Canva/basic design know-how; interest in data visualization.
