Your role will involve thorough editing and proofreading of articles, crafting compelling headlines, optimizing content for online readability and SEO, fact-checking information, enhancing story structure, integrating multimedia elements, and ensuring legal and ethical compliance. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, stay updated on current affairs and digital journalism trends, and contribute to maintaining high editorial standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Thoroughly edit and proofread Hindi news content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, and accuracy. - Craft compelling headlines, sub-headlines, and captions. - Optimize content for online readability, SEO, and social media sharing. - Fact-check information and verify sources. - Improve story structure, flow, and presentation. - Integrate multimedia elements with text. - Ensure legal and ethical compliance. - Collaborate with team members and contribute to content refinement. - Provide mentorship to junior sub-editors. - Stay updated on current affairs and digital journalism trends. - Utilize content management system (CMS) effectively. - Uphold high editorial standards. - Participate in editorial planning. - Be willing to work in shifts. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Hindi Literature, or a related field. - 1-3 years of experience as a Sub Editor in a reputable Hindi news organization. - Exceptional command of the Hindi language. - Strong understanding of journalistic principles and ethics. - Excellent news judgment and attention to detail. - Proficiency in SEO principles and CMS usage. - Strong fact-checking and verification skills. - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with social media platforms and media laws in India. **Preferred Skills:** - Experience with multimedia editing tools. - Knowledge of Hindi Mangal font. - Familiarity with analytics tools for content performance.
