Job Description

As a Student Guidance & Admissions Professional, your role involves being the go-to guide for high-school students and parents exploring undergraduate education in India. You will lead 1:1 counselling sessions, workshops, webinars, and parent meets to assist students in shortlisting courses and universities, navigating entrance exams, and completing applications. Building strong relationships with students, parents, and school principals is essential for success in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct structured 1:1 sessions with students and parents to identify interests, strengths, and constraints and recommend suitable courses, colleges, and career paths. - Explain entrance exam eligibility, patterns, timelines, and target scores for exams like JEE, NEET, CUET, NID/NIFT, CLAT, IPMAT, and state CETs. - Provide support for the entire application process, including timelines, document preparation, form filling, SOPs, and checklists. - Organize and deliver engaging workshops, webinars, and parent sessions to enhance understanding of the undergraduate landscape and aid decision-making. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with parents and school leadership to enhance engagement and achieve positive outcomes. - Manage student records, plans, and follow-ups, escalate special cases, and ensure timely decisions. - Translate policy and college updates into simple guidance, contribute FAQs, checklists, and session decks. - Guide families in making confident choices and submitting applications on time to support program adoption in partner schools. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree (Masters in Psychology/Education/Counselling preferred). - 2 to 15 years of total experience, with school career counselling experience highly preferred. - Demonstrated success in UG admissions guidance within India. In addition to the above, you should be a great communicator who can connect effectively with teenagers and parents. Your knowledge about Indian UG admissions, organizational skills, deadline-driven approach, and ability to deliver presentations both in person and online are crucial for this role. Being tech-friendly and proficient in English and Hindi, along with additional regional languages, would be advantageous. Exposure to psychometrics, various entrance exams, and a network with schools/coaching institutes in your region are desirable qualities for this position. Comfort with parent expectation management and complex decision trade-offs would also be beneficial.,
