As a Student Guidance & Admissions Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding high-school students and their parents through the complexities of undergraduate education in India. Your responsibilities will include: - Conducting structured 1:1 sessions with students and parents to identify their interests, strengths, and constraints, and align them with suitable courses, colleges, and career paths in India. - Providing detailed information on entrance exam eligibility, patterns, timelines, and setting realistic target scores for exams such as JEE, NEET, CUET, NID/NIFT, CLAT, IPMAT, and state CETs. - Offering comprehensive support to students in completing end-to-end applications, including timelines, document preparation, form filling, statement of purposes (SOPs), and checklists. - Organizing engaging workshops, webinars, and parent sessions to simplify the undergraduate education landscape and enhance decision-making skills. - Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with parents and school leadership to enhance engagement and achieve positive outcomes. - Managing student records, plans, and follow-ups diligently, escalating special cases when necessary and ensuring timely decisions. - Translating policy and college updates into easily understandable guidance, and contributing FAQs, checklists, and session materials. - Guiding families towards confident choices and assisting them in submitting applications on time, while also promoting program adoption in partner schools. You should possess the following qualifications and skills: - Strong communication skills to effectively connect with teenagers and parents, demonstrating clarity, empathy, and structure. - In-depth knowledge of Indian undergraduate admissions, including universities, courses, fees, eligibility criteria, counseling rounds, cut-offs, and key exams. - Exceptional organizational skills, deadline orientation, and the ability to manage multiple student cases efficiently. - Proficiency in delivering presentations and workshops both in-person and online. - Comfort with technology, including Google Workspace/Sheets, CRMs, Zoom/Meet, and a quick learning ability for new tools. - Proficiency in English and Hindi, with additional regional languages considered a plus. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree (Master's in Psychology/Education/Counseling preferred). - 2 to 15 years of total experience, with a preference for prior experience in school career counseling. - Demonstrated success in providing undergraduate admissions guidance in India. Nice to Have: - Exposure to psychometrics and interpreting student assessments. - Previous experience with CUET/JEE/NEET/Design/Law/Management pathways. - Established network with schools/coaching institutes in your region. - Comfort in managing parent expectations and navigating complex decision trade-offs related to budget, location, college brand, and fit.,
