Student Counselor

The position of Student Counsellor at a Residential School in Ranchi requires a dedicated individual with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in student counselling. You will also assist students in making informed career choices, supporting them in overcoming academic challenges, and collaborating with faculty, parents, and school administration to enhance students" progress. Key requirements for this role include a Masters degree in Psychology, a solid background in student counselling, a comprehensive understanding of academic and career counselling techniques, and exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English. The ideal candidate should exhibit empathy, patience, and the ability to establish trust with students, along with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Preferred skills for this position include prior experience in educational settings, familiarity with career assessments and guidance tools, as well as knowledge of mental health and well-being programs for students.
