Student Counselor

As a Student Counsellor at our residential school in Ranchi, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students in academic, emotional, and career-related matters to ensure their overall well-being and success. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions for students, addressing academic, emotional, and career concerns. - Evaluate students" psychological well-being and provide guidance for personal development. - Assist students in making informed decisions regarding their career paths and overcoming academic challenges. - Collaborate with faculty, parents, and school administration to facilitate students" progress. - Design and conduct counselling programs, workshops, and sessions on stress management, building confidence, and career planning. - Manage cases related to student anxiety, peer pressure, learning difficulties, and mental health. - Maintain confidentiality of counselling sessions and prepare reports when necessary. - Offer timely interventions and refer students to mental health professionals when required. - Stay updated on the latest counselling techniques and educational trends. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Psychology is mandatory. - 5 to 7 years of experience in student counselling. - Proficiency in academic and career counselling techniques. - Strong verbal and written English communication skills. - Empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with students. - Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. - Capability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. Preferred Skills: - Background in educational institutions like schools, colleges, or coaching centers. - Familiarity with career assessments, psychometric tests, and guidance tools. - Knowledge of mental health and well-being programs for students.
