Structural Engineer

The Structural Engineer in rebar Detailing will lead and oversee the rebar detailing team, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely production of rebar shop drawings and schedules. You will need a deep understanding of rebar detailing practices, industry standards, and project requirements, coupled with the ability to check the drawings, optimize workflows, manage the team, and deliver high-quality drawings. Your responsibilities will include possessing a strong understanding of rebar detailing standards and procedures to meet quality expectations. You will review and approve shop drawings and schedules for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications. Additionally, you will assign tasks, set performance expectations, and supervise the rebar detailing team. It is crucial to stay updated on the latest industry standards and technologies related to rebar detailing, monitor project progress, and ensure the timely delivery of shop drawings and schedules. Effective communication with clients to understand their requirements and address their concerns will also be part of your role. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a structural engineer specialized in drawing checking in GCC based projects, and a strong understanding of rebar detailing codes and standards (BS & Euro). Proficiency in any rebar detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, ZWCAD, etc.) is required, along with excellent communication in English and interpersonal skills.
