About the Company Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt. Ltd. (HWT) is a 100% subsidiary of SFC Environmental Technologies Ltd., engaged in technology, process design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, project execution, and operations & maintenance of integrated municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment plants. HWT has two operating reference plants, with multiple projects under execution across India. Role Definition The Design Structural Engineer Civil will be responsible for basic and detailed civil/structural engineering design for municipal solid waste, water, and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring safe, economical, and code-compliant designs aligned with project requirements. Experience 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in civil/structural design for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Municipal Solid Waste projects, Power Plants, or Petrochemical/Industrial projects. Minimum Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory) M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred) Key Responsibilities Prepare basic and detailed structural designs and GADs for RCC structures, steel structures, PEB sheds, tanks, foundations, roads, drains, and pipe racks. Perform structural analysis and modelling using STAAD. Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Design foundations using geotechnical inputs including shallow foundations and pile foundations. Ensure all designs comply with IS codes, international standards, and contractual specifications. Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and optimize BOQs through value engineering. Develop and maintain civil MDL and monitor progress of design deliverables. Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for integrated project execution. Review contractor and consultant design submissions for compliance and structural adequacy. Prepare RFQs and technically evaluate vendor drawings and documents. Obtain design and drawing approvals from clients and consultants. Support site teams by resolving design queries and ensuring construction alignment with drawings.
