Structural Design Engineer

Satcon urgently needs to recruit one Civil & Structural Design Engineer having 10-15 years experience with the following qualification and capability. This is not a junior or fresh engineer's work. So Engineer's who does not meet the following criteria will be immediately rejected :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience after graduation, out of which 5 years must be in Design Engineering of RCC and steel structures of Industrial Plants / Utilities. The candidate must be fluent in Design techniques using software.
• The candidate can be male or female. The candidate must be able to adapt to long working hours, if required.
• The candidate must have capability to work independently without help from a senior engineer.
• Must be fully computer literate. Fluency in MS excel and Word is a must.
• Must have confidence to work independently (without the help of seniors) in the design of various industrial Buildings (RCC), Support facility buildings (RCC), Equipment foundations (RCC), Steel structural supports, Lattice type Gantry towers (Steel), Gantry beams (Steel) of EHV Substations, Switchyards, Transmission line towers (Steel), Cable galleries (Steel), EHV Transformer foundation (RCC) as per Indian or International standards.
• CAD drafting will be done by others. The engineer shall provide hand sketch assignments to the Draftsman.
• Must be thoroughly experienced in application of software (staad.pro connect, staad foundation, RCDC) in civil and structural designs.
• The candidate preferably should have good experience in preparing CAD drawings. Ability to prepare CAD drawing on your own will be added advantage.
• He or she must be capable of answering to Client's clarifications and questions.
• Candidate residing within 5km from Satcon office location (at New Town, Kolkata) will be preferred.
• The job includes site visits for data collection and discussions with the Client to obtain drawings approval.
• Shall be experienced in National and International standards (IS, BS-EN, ACI, AISC etc.).
• Guiding junior engineers in Civil & Structural design and drawings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
