Structural Design Engineer

You will be responsible for supporting the Senior Structural Design Engineer in the design, analysis, and documentation of RCC, steel, and composite structures. Your duties will include performing independent design calculations and modeling for assigned elements, creating and modifying design models using ETABS and SAFE, and conducting structural analysis and design using advanced software tools such as ETABS, SAFE, and Connection design software. Additionally, you will be required to conduct manual checks and calculations for design validation using Excel or other tools, participate in design reviews, and provide technical input during planning and construction phases. Maintaining documentation for approvals, compliance, and project handovers, as well as coordinating with architects, MEP, and construction teams to ensure smooth project execution, will also be part of your role. Your expertise will be essential in participating in strategic decision-making processes, providing valuable insights and recommendations based on advanced design knowledge. You are expected to possess good communication, leadership, and coordination skills, along with proficiency in structural analysis and design tools such as ETABS and SAFE. A strong knowledge of manual design calculations, expertise in reviewing structural drawings, and familiarity with British Standards (BS) and other international building codes are required. Deep understanding of RCC, steel, and composite structural systems, experience in both substructure and superstructure design, and expertise in structural stability checks, design validation, and integrity checks are also essential. Furthermore, you should have an understanding of structural behavior, load analysis, and safety considerations, as well as the ability to read, interpret, and draft structural drawings. Good documentation and reporting skills will be necessary to excel in this role. In terms of education and experience requirements, a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (added advantage) is necessary. You should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in structural analysis and design, with demonstrated proficiency in using ETABS, SAFE, IDEA StatiCa, and AutoCAD. Experience with BS Codes, international standards, and preferred experience in GULF projects will be advantageous.,
