As an experienced Embedded Software Engineer, you will collaborate with the architecture team to design scalable, secure, and high-performance platform infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include translating stakeholder requirements into robust and scalable software systems, evaluating emerging technologies for improvements, and designing, developing, testing, and documenting embedded software components and applications. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex application and infrastructure issues alongside cross-functional teams and lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes. In this role, you will drive capacity planning and scalability efforts, develop detailed technical documentation, and promote continuous improvement and Agile best practices. You will collaborate with hardware teams for seamless software integration, ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory frameworks, and engage with global stakeholders and third-party vendors. Your qualifications must include a B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in embedded software development. Prior experience in the Medical Device industry or similarly regulated sectors is preferred. Key Skills & Experience: - Strong hands-on expertise in Embedded C/C++, preferably in an RTOS environment. - In-depth knowledge of embedded firmware and device driver development. - Proficiency in hardware/software integration and troubleshooting. - Experience with requirements management, source code control, and change management systems. - Proficiency in code reviews, static and dynamic code analysis, and generating software quality metrics. - Ability to work in a regulated development environment (e.g., FDA Class I/II/III, ISO 13485). - Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and continuous integration. - Strong understanding of software development standards, including risk, usability, and safety considerations. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. - Strong mentoring, leadership, and team-building capabilities. - Demonstrated experience in working with global teams, across time zones, and with multidisciplinary functions. As a member of the design team within the WSP Energy Transition team, you will be responsible for preparing drawings with calculations, technical design, and layout design using available CAD/CAE methods. It will be your duty to ensure completion of work within the programme and allotted hours. You will also take on the designer role on Energy projects. Your focus will be on ensuring a coordinated approach to delivering engineering design quality, technical excellence, and innovative design for feasibility studies, concept and scheme designs, detailed design, and construction support phases of projects.
