Strategic Sourcing Manager

Roles & Responsibilities:

Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, and develop sourcing and

negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve

sustainable relationships with suppliers.

• Lead and RFI/ RFQ/ RFP and strategic sourcing process for (a) Aluminium Casting

(Gravity Die Casting / High Pressure Die Casting) components like Alloy Wheels,

Gear Box Housing/Crank Cases, Motor Housing, etc.; (b) Forgings; (c) shafts &

gears; (d) Clutch Assembly; (e ) Brake Components- ensuring all commercial

terms are agreed and documented.

• Ensures NDA, SOW's and Master Purchase Agreement are positioned appropriately

before business is initiated.

• Lead contractual negotiations with suppliers on NDAs, General Terms &

Conditions, and Production Supply Agreements.

• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry

cost models.

• Create competitive environments with suppliers to support a negotiation strategy

and evaluate supplier business proposals and present recommendations that will

result in cost savings, avoidance or containment.

• Develop key performance measures for chosen suppliers and negotiate on

multiple variables to award longer-term strategic contracts that result in

significant cost reduction and improved service levels.

• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain best prototype and production pricing based on

targets

• Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers; Perform value

analysis for final selection of suppliers.

• Build and leverage strong working relationships with our engineering teams and

key suppliers to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.

• Communicate closely with other teams to support prototype requirements,

execute against build milestones, and track sourcing progress.

Qualification :

• B.E./B Tech degree in Mechanical/Production or equivalent degree. 8-10 years

of demonstrated experience in vendor development/strategic sourcing for the

automotive 2W components. (2-4 Years 2W OEM Experience is must)

• Ability to understand Engineering and Design direction and provide focused

supply-chain solutions accordingly
