Store in-charge in our Door and Veneer manufacturing Company will be responsible for managing the receiving, storage, and issuance of materials, ensuring inventory accuracy, and coordinating with other departments. Key duties include maintaining meticulous inventory records, conducting regular stock checks, managing store personnel, and ensuring the store is organized and compliant with safety regulations. They play a critical role in controlling costs by minimizing waste and ensuring timely availability of materials for production.

Key roles and responsibilities

· Inventory management:

Maintain accurate inventory levels, perform regular stock checks and cycle counts, and ensure stock is managed according to methods like FIFO (First-In, First-Out).

· Material handling:

Receive, inspect, and store all incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods, while also managing the dispatch of finished products and the return of excess or scrap materials.

· Record keeping:

Maintain all necessary documentation, including inward/outward registers, stock records, and reports. Generate a Material Received Report (MRR) and other required documents.

· Coordination:

Liaise with other departments like production, quality assurance (QA), and procurement to ensure smooth material flow and to address any discrepancies or issues.

· Safety and housekeeping:

Ensure the store is clean, organized, and a safe working environment by maintaining good housekeeping practices and enforcing safety procedures.

· Personnel management:

Supervise store staff, manage their schedules, and ensure they are trained on proper procedures.

· Cost control:

Monitor material usage to minimize wastage and control costs associated with materials.

· Compliance:

Ensure all store activities comply with company policies and government regulations, especially regarding safety and quality control.

· Reporting:

Prepare and submit regular reports to management on inventory levels, stock movements, and other store-related activities.

· System and process management:

Operate and maintain inventory management software and ensure all processes are followed efficiently.
