Job Description

Experience - 9 Yrs - 15 Yrs,

Only Hospital experienced candidates will be considered.

Team handling experience is must.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management Stores, IP Pharmacy & OT Stores Coordination

  • Oversee daily operations of

    General Stores, IP Pharmacy Stores, and OT Stores

    .
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Monitor receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of all items.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO practices, especially for medicines and sterile items.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, humidity, safety).
  • Ensure timely availability of medicines, implants, surgical consumables, and anesthesia items for

    IP and OT requirements

    .
  • Coordinate closely with doctors, nursing staff, OT teams, and pharmacy for demand planning.
  • Track high-value, fast-moving, and critical items used in OT and IP areas.
  • Manage emergency and night-time stock requirements.

3. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with the purchase department for timely procurement.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation, rate contracts, and negotiation.
  • Ensure compliance with approved vendors and hospital policies.
  • Ensure continuous competitive price advantage with vendors.
  • Follow up on pending purchase orders and delayed supplies.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH/JCI standards, and statutory requirements (where applicable).
  • Maintain accurate stock records, GRNs, issue notes, and audit trails.
  • Support internal and external audits and resolve discrepancies.

5. Cost Control & Reporting

  • Monitor consumption trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Prepare MIS reports on stock status, near-expiry items, slow-moving items, and variance reports.
  • Control wastage, pilferage, and expiries.

6. Team Management

  • Lead, train, and supervise stores staff across all covered areas.
  • Allocate duties, manage shifts, and ensure discipline and accountability.
  • Promote standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

7. Systems & Process Improvement

  • Ensure effective use of HIS/ERP for inventory and billing linkage.
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Coordinate with IT for system-related enhancements.
