Job Description

Job Title: RM Store Keeper

The RM Store Keeper is responsible for the efficient management of all Raw Material (RM)

inventory activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate stock

records. This role ensures materials are available when required, inventory is well

maintained, and all procedures for stock handling, documentation, and safety are strictly

followed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of daily opening and closing stock for all raw materials.
  • Record and monitor daily material consumption and ensure entries are updated in the

inventory system/logbook.

  • Ensure all materials issued from the store are properly documented and signed off by

authorized personnel.

  • Conduct regular stock checks and assist in monthly stock audits.

2. Material Receipt & Inspection

  • Receive and inspect all incoming raw materials for quantity, quality, and compliance

with specifications.

  • Reject or report any damaged or non-conforming materials immediately to the

concerned department.

  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure smooth inward processing.

3. Stock Control & Housekeeping

  • Maintain the store area in a clean, organized, and safe manner at all times.
  • Implement proper storage methods to prevent contamination, mix-ups, or material

deterioration.

  • Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored according to FIFO (First In, First

Out) or FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) principles where applicable.

4. Procurement Coordination

  • Raise purchase requests (PRs) for raw materials as per reorder levels or production

requirements.

  • Coordinate with the procurement team to track order status and prevent stock-outs or

excess inventory.

  • Provide timely updates on material availability and stock status to relevant

departments.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain all records related to material receipts, issues, and stock balances in physical

and/or digital formats.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and reports.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management,

or a related field.

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in a manufacturing

or production environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software (ERP

experience preferred).

  • Strong understanding of raw material handling and stock control principles.

Soft Skills:

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams.
  • Integrity, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of stock records.
  • Number of stock-outs or overstock incidents.
  • Timeliness and accuracy of purchase requests.
  • Cleanliness and organization of the store.
  • Compliance with quality and safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
