Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Store Keeper with a background in the catering or food service industry, responsible for managing inventory, food items, and kitchen supplies with a strong focus on accuracy, hygiene, and timely issuance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in handling perishable and non-perishable goods, maintaining proper stock levels, and working closely with kitchen and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and verify quality and quantity of all food and non-food deliveries.

Store items in an organized, hygienic, and temperature-controlled environment as per food safety standards.

Monitor expiry dates, batch codes, FIFO (First In, First Out), and FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices.

Issue ingredients and materials to the kitchen team based on daily requisitions with proper documentation.

Maintain daily stock registers and inventory logs using software or manual systems.

Conduct weekly, surprise physical stock audits to reconcile with system records.

Coordinate with vendors, purchase department, and kitchen for smooth flow of materials.

Track breakages, wastages, and report discrepancies or damage immediately.

Follow safety and hygiene protocols laid out by internal SOPs and FSSAI (if applicable).

Key Requirements:

Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Store Keeper in the catering, hotel, or restaurant industry.

Sound knowledge of food storage norms, shelf life, and food safety compliance.

Familiarity with inventory software (e.g., POS, PetPooja, Tally).

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Physically fit, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Basic understanding of kitchen and food item classification (dry, frozen, chilled, etc.).

Educational Qualification:

Minimum: 10th / 12th pass

Preferred: Diploma or certificate in Storekeeping / Inventory / Hotel Management / F&B Service

Working Conditions:

Work inside cold rooms, dry storage, and general store areas

May involve early morning or late evening shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
