Store Executive

Job Summary

The Store Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day store operations including receipt, storage, issuance, and inventory control of materials, equipment, and consumables. The role ensures accurate stock records, proper storage practices, and timely availability of materials to support institute operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery challans
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and arrangement of materials and equipment
• Issue materials as per approved requisitions and maintain issue records
• Monitor stock levels and inform concerned departments for reordering
• Maintain accurate inventory records (manual and/or ERP/software-based)
• Conduct periodic stock verification and assist in audits
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and institute policies
• Coordinate with purchase, accounts, and user departments
• Maintain records such as GRN, stock registers, issue slips, and returns
• Handle scrap, obsolete, and surplus material as per procedures
• Support smooth logistics and internal material movement

Required Qualifications

• Graduate / Diploma (any discipline preferred)
• Freshers can apply
• Basic knowledge of computers (MS Excel is an advantage)

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of inventory management and documentation
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems preferred)
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
• Honest, responsible, and disciplined approach to work

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in handling technical, laboratory, or industrial materials
• Familiarity with audit and compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
