Stock Auditor

Job Description: As a Stock Auditor at our company based in Chennai, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of stock records, conducting audits, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular physical stock audits, reconciling physical stock with inventory records, preparing detailed audit reports, verifying stock movement records, ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures, and coordinating with various teams during audits. Additionally, you will assist in implementing improvements in inventory management processes while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular physical stock audits across all warehouses, stores, or storage locations. - Reconcile physical stock with inventory records and identify discrepancies. - Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting variances, issues, and recommendations. - Verify stock movement, receipt, and dispatch records for accuracy. - Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and internal policies. - Coordinate with store managers, warehouse staff, and accounts team during audits. - Assist in implementing improvements in inventory management processes. - Maintain confidentiality of sensitive inventory and financial information. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Prior experience in stock auditing, inventory management, or accounting preferred. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management software. - Good communication and reporting skills. In this role, you may be required to travel to multiple store or warehouse locations and have exposure to warehouse operations and physical stock handling.
