Steward (Waiter)

Job Summary:

The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. The role requires attentiveness, good communication, and maintaining service standards of the restaurant/hotel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and escort guests to their tables in a professional manner.
• Present menus, explain specials, and make recommendations when requested.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and as per service standards.
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean, and maintained throughout service.
• Handle guest queries, complaints, and requests efficiently.
• Assist in billing, processing payments, and maintaining proper records.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Support colleagues and work as part of the team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma / Hotel Management certification preferred.
• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel or restaurant is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, customer-focused, and team-oriented.
• Basic knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
