Steward

Summary: The Restaurant Steward will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience to all guests by ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service. This role involves taking and serving food & beverage orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization of service areas, and upholding Sidewok Restaurant’s service standards. Key Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests in a warm, friendly manner. Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations when requested. Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar promptly. Serve food and drinks efficiently while ensuring presentation standards are met. Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and overall experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, service stations, and dining areas. Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware. Assist with clearing tables and resetting them for new guests. Handle guest complaints or requests professionally and escalate when necessary. Process bills and collect payments accurately. Adhere to Sidewok Restaurant’s hygiene, grooming, and safety protocols. Support the team in stock replenishment, side duties, and overall operations. Qualifications & Skills: Previous experience as a waiter/waitress or steward in a restaurant or hotel is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Positive attitude with a focus on excellent guest service. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
