Steel Logistics Assistant Manager

About the Role

Tara Chand InfraLogistic Solutions Ltd., a trusted name in Indias infrastructure and logistics sector, is looking for a dynamic, hands-on professional to join our Steel Warehousing & Transportation Division.
This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn, thrive in on-ground operational environments, and can independently manage steel yard logistics with precision and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee

  day-to-day steel unloading, stacking, and yard operations

  to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
• Identify operational bottlenecks across the yard and implement corrective actions to enhance throughput.
  
• Coordinate with transporters, drivers, crane operators, and warehouse teams for

  seamless dispatch and inbound activities

  .
• Monitor TAT for trucks, cranes, and unloading cycles; escalate issues proactively.
  
• Assist in planning and execution of

  steel transportation activities

  , ensuring timely and compliant movement.
• Maintain yard MIS, weighbridge coordination, documentation, and stock accuracy.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and client SOPs at all times.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and logistics processes.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:

  MBA / Chartered Accountant (CA) / Semi-CA preferred.

• Experience:

  26 years of

  on-ground logistics or warehousing operations

  (steel sector experience is a strong advantage).
• Strong ability to understand and troubleshoot

  operational hiccups

  in unloading, stacking, and transportation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  
• High level of discipline, integrity, and willingness to learn and grow.
  
• Comfort with technology and MIS reporting (Excel, ERP exposure preferred).
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
