Steel Building structural Designer

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Designer with an M.Tech in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering specialization) to join our team in Ernakulam. The ideal candidate will be involved in the design and detailing of steel buildings, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of steel structures, including pre-engineered buildings (PEB), industrial buildings, and other structural steel components.
• Prepare structural analysis models using software like STAAD.Pro, ETABS, or SAP2000.
• Prepare structural drawings and connection details in coordination with the drafting team.
• Perform load calculations and structural analysis per IS codes and other international standards (ASCE, AISC, etc. if required).
• Coordinate with architects, project managers, and site teams to ensure structural integrity and feasibility.
• Review and ensure accuracy of structural drawings and BOQs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• M.Tech in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering specialization is mandatory)
• Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD (Revit and Tekla knowledge is an advantage)
• Sound knowledge of structural steel design and IS codes
• Good understanding of construction methods and practices
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred Candidate:

• Available for immediate or short-notice joining

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
