Staff Nurse - Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

As a Staff Nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), you will maintain standards of professional nursing practice and coordinate total nursing care for patients, taking into consideration their specific age needs. Your role will involve providing leadership by collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals. - Active RN licensure in the State of Ohio is required for this position. - BLS certification is mandatory. - You must be open to rotating shifts and units as needed. - There may be instances where you will be required to assume the Charge Nurse role. - Regarding physical requirements, you should have: - Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20, including color vision when applicable. - Ability to hear (with or without aids) and communicate orally. - Good manual dexterity. - Capability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally. - Ability to stand, walk frequently. - Capability to bend, reach, stoop, and kneel frequently. - Proficiency in performing CPR. - Exhibit accuracy, integrity, and flexibility; be punctual and dependable. - Possess organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. - Demonstrate the ability to work with self-direction and effectiveness under minimal supervision. - Display excellent written and verbal communication skills with group facilitation abilities. - Have demonstrated conflict negotiation skills and the ability to exercise diplomacy and tact in potentially volatile situations.,
