The Nurse Manager of Outpatient Surgery holds a pivotal role in overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care round the clock on the designated unit. Your responsibilities entail supervising unit activities to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care. Working closely with the Director, you will play an integral part in implementing Performance Improvement activities, adhering to hospital policies/procedures, and managing the unit's finances. To qualify for this position, you must possess at least 2+ years of recent acute care leadership experience in Surgical Services, coupled with 3-5 years of prior experience as a staff nurse in the operating room or a related surgical area. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a mandatory requirement. While prior management experience is preferred, individuals demonstrating strong leadership skills will also be considered. Experience in Cardiovascular services is advantageous. Holding a TX RN License or RN Compact State License is essential, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications from approved HCA vendors. If not currently held, ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter. This is a full-time position with benefits such as paid time off. The work schedule involves day shifts with rotating weekends. The ideal candidate should have 2 years of leadership experience in Surgical Services and 3 years of RN experience.
