Key Responsibilities: Product Design & Development: Develop and design new products or systems according to project specifications, standards, and customer requirements. Work on the entire design process, from concept generation and feasibility analysis to detailed design and implementation. Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) to create 2D and 3D models, detailed drawings, and prototypes. Perform design calculations and simulations to ensure the product's functionality, durability, and manufacturability. Prototyping & Testing: Create prototypes of products or systems and conduct testing to validate the design's performance and identify potential issues. Analyze test results and make necessary design adjustments to improve the product's functionality, safety, and efficiency. Collaborate with the production team to ensure that the design is optimized for manufacturing and assembly processes. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineers, manufacturers, product managers, and other departments to ensure seamless product development. Coordinate with the R&D, procurement, and quality assurance teams to integrate materials and processes that meet design requirements. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source materials and components that meet design specifications and cost constraints. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date design documentation, including specifications, drawings, change orders, and technical reports. Prepare design presentations and reports for internal stakeholders, including management and clients, to demonstrate the design process, updates, and final outcomes. Ensure all design activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into designs. Recommend design improvements and enhancements based on feedback from testing, customers, or other stakeholders. Ensure designs are cost-effective while maintaining high-quality standards. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Investigate design issues or product failures and provide solutions for improvements. Offer technical support and guidance to production and quality teams to resolve design-related challenges during manufacturing and testing. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field. Proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a similar design role, preferably in a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or consumer goods industry. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Fusion 360). Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering or Industrial Design. Experience with simulation software (e.g., FEA, CFD) for stress, thermal, or fluid dynamics analysis. Familiarity with prototyping and rapid manufacturing techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining). Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. Project management experience, including the ability to manage timelines and resources effectively.

1. Cost Estimation & Design • Accurately estimate costs for AHU manufacturing projects, including materials, labor, and overheads, using estimation software and spreadsheets. • Assist in technical sizing and design of AHUs based on customer specifications, capacity requirements, and industry standards. 2. Documentation & Analysis • Maintain and update estimation logs, historical data, and unit cost databases. • Prepare detailed BOM (Bill of Materials) and cost breakdowns for internal and customer use. 3. Vendor Coordination • Identify and liaise with vendors to get updated pricing for key components such as fans, coils, motors, and other accessories. • Evaluate and maintain a database of approved vendors for cost-effective sourcing. 4. Interdepartmental Collaboration • Coordinate with sales, design, and production teams to align cost estimates with manufacturing feasibility and project budgets. • Participate in review meetings and provide input on pricing strategies and margin optimization. 5. Technical Understanding • Read and interpret tender documents, technical drawings, and customer specifications. • Knowledge of AHU components and their selection (fans, heat exchanger coils, filters, dampers, etc.). 6. Communication & Reporting • Prepare cost proposals and support documentation for submission to clients or internal stakeholders. • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors. 7. Tools & Software • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), basic AutoCAD or estimation tools (as applicable).
