Job Title: NICU Staff Nurse

Location: UNITTAS Multispeciality Hospital, ECR - Uthandi
Department: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Reports to: Nursing Supervisor / NICU In-Charge

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled NICU Staff Nurse to provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in neonatal care, critical thinking, and emotional support to families during challenging times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, monitoring, and administering medications/treatments.
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, incubators, and infusion pumps.
• Assist physicians during procedures and follow treatment plans as per NICU protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Educate and support parents/families on neonatal care, feeding, and bonding.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment in line with hospital infection control protocols
• Collaborate effectively with neonatologists, paediatricians, and other NICU staff.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Diploma (ANM/GNM)/B.Sc Nursing (Recognized by Nursing Council)
• Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in NICU preferred (Freshers with strong interest in neonatology may be considered)
• Registration: Valid Nursing Council Registration Certificate

• Skills:
• Strong clinical knowledge of neonatal care
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Compassionate, patient, and good communication skills
• Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments

Work Schedule:

Rotational Shifts (Day/Night) 10hrs, 12hrs

Salary:

[20,000 to 50,000] (Based on experience and qualification)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
