Job Description As a Staff Nurse in the Emergency department, your role is critical and demanding, requiring a combination of clinical expertise, quick thinking, and compassionate care to handle emergency situations effectively. You will be at the forefront of patient care, providing high-stakes, immediate attention to patients experiencing trauma or severe health conditions. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, specialists, and other nurses, you will often need to make rapid assessments and deliver prompt, life-saving interventions. Essential attributes for this role include a keen sense of awareness, understanding patient needs, and maintaining calm under pressure. Your duties will ensure that each patient receives optimal medical care while prioritizing their comfort and safety in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Assess and triage patients quickly to determine the urgency of their health conditions. - Administer emergency care immediately and accurately during critical situations. - Collaborate effectively with doctors and healthcare professionals in emergency care protocols. - Monitor patient condition continuously and report any significant changes promptly. - Maintain thorough and accurate records of patient information and care provided. - Ensure equipment in the emergency room is maintained and operational at all times. - Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and procedures involved. - Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines within the emergency department. - Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during distressing times. - Participate in ongoing training and development programs to keep skills current. - Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery. - Practice and promote evidence-based practices and high standards of nursing care. Requirements - A valid nursing license to practice as a registered nurse in the respective state. - Minimum of two years" experience working in an emergency department setting preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associates degree with relevant experience. - Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). - Strong ability to work under pressure and make quick, rational decisions. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with diverse populations. - Proficiency in using electronic health records and medical software applications.,
