Candidate Industry : Preferrable from Machine shop / Valves Industry

Qualification : BE / B. Tech - Metallurgy

Job Descriprion :

• Create Material Specification & Quality Specifications.
• Analyse Customer issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Do supplier evaluation/audit to qualify the supplier to add in the AVL.
• Do supplier evaluation/audit to qualify the supplier to add in the AVL.
• Give clearance on all the inward material to issue to the production.
• Review the Data Book which sends to the customer.
• Witness monogramming on job.

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Quality Assurance & Control

• Develop and implement quality control procedures for valve manufacturing and machine shop operations.
  
• Ensure adherence to industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, ASTM) and customer specifications.
  
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined components and assembled valves.
  
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address quality issues.
  

2. Testing & Inspection

• Perform mechanical, dimensional, and functional testing of valves.
  
• Oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like PT, MT, UT, RT, and pressure testing.
  
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
  
• Validate first-article inspections (FAI) and production part approval process (PPAP).
  

3. Process Improvement & Audits

• Monitor and analyze process deviations to drive continuous improvement.
  
• Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with quality management systems (QMS).
  
• Implement Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen principles for quality enhancement.
  
• Collaborate with the production and design teams to resolve manufacturing defects.
  

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain records of quality reports, inspections, deviations, and corrective actions.
  
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in valve manufacturing.
  
• Prepare and review Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
  

5. Supplier & Customer Interaction

• Conduct supplier audits and evaluate vendor quality performance.
  
• Address customer complaints and implement root cause analysis (RCA) using 8D methodology.
  
• Coordinate with clients and third-party inspectors for quality approvals.
